Disney Princess!

My roommates and I took a “Who is your favorite Disney princess?” survey. Wine and watching Cinderella causes such things. We only asked the male species because we were curious. Some of them do not know exactly which girls are Disney Princesses. : )

Jasmine – 13

Belle – 11

Ariel – 6

Rapunzel – 6

Cinderella – 5

Snow White – 5

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) – 4

Meg – 1

Swan Princess – 1

Pocahontas – 1

Participants (53)

Disney makes an average $3 billion per year on the “princesses” alone. Who are considered the DIsney princesses? Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana and Rapunzel.

They inspire a lot of fashion throughout the web and world.

Time to do your Nails Honey!!!!!!!

The history of nail painting dates back to the Chinese, as early as 3000 B.C., royals used flower petals, beeswax, egg whites, silver and gold to tint their nails.

In Egypt, both men and women colored their nails, with color indicating social status. The royals used darker colors for painting their nails, while the lower classes used paler tones.

Thank you wisegeek.com! Thank you ancient Egyptians and Chinese!

Black is love!

“I’ve been 40 years discovering that the queen of all colors was black.” — Pierre-Auguste Renoir

My favorite color is black. It is the sexiest, most sophisticated color ever.

“Without black, no color has any depth. But if you mix black with everything, suddenly there’s shadow – no, not just shadow, but fullness. You’ve got to be willing to mix black into your palette if you want to create something that’s real.” — Amy Grant

Day 28

Day 28, the last day of the 28 Day Challenge.ImageImage

What I learned. I am still crafting my summer style. I have discovered I like bright colors and black; no dull or relaxing colors. I like to pop! I love heels and jewelry. I don’t really like shorts (except for my American flag ones) so I need to buy more skirts. My number one enemy is heat. The heat made it very hard to be comfy and cute. I plan on doing another 28 day challenge in the fall. My season! But until then…some items I feel I should add to my summer wardrobe.

Happy Independence Day (a day late) but I was having fun!

Yesterday the roommates and I went canoeing on the St. Mary’s and St. Joe’s rivers. Check out Fort Wayne Outfitters (located on Wells St.) they are an awesome local shop where you can rent canoes, kayaks and bikes.
